Our Story

AB Skincare was developed to provide the simplest and most successful approach to skin care with the best results in terms of minimizing sun damage, wrinkles and skin breakouts. The formulations were developed by dermatologist Dr. Patricia Norris, and are the results of her years of practical experience with thousands of patients. 

Dr. Norris has a special interest in contact dermatitis  (allergy to things that touch the skin) and it has been an important part of her practice to give patients advice about products that are less likely to cause allergic reactions. Over the years she has found that skin problems such as allergic contact dermatitis, eczema, acne, and rosacea improve by simplifying the skin care routine: fewer steps, fewer products and fewer ingredients. Some of the past products that she has recommended are not always accessible to patients so she and her daughters went to work and formulated the skin care line that is only 4 steps.  

The AB Skincare team is launching a campaign to start a new approach to skin care which is less is more: once a day washing with a non-irritating pH balanced cleanser, simple light moisturizer to hydrate, benzoyl peroxide spot treatment for acne, and zinc/titanium mineral powder for sunburn prevention. That's it! That's all you need to clean and protect the skin from sun damage.

 

Meet the Team

	Amanda Blakley Amanda Blakley wears many hats: She is the co-founder, CEO, President and pioneer of Amanda Blakley Skincare. Growing up in a household with a Dermatologist gave her an early love, and knowledge, of the industry. After earning her degree from the University of Denver, she used that and her strong business background to mold Amanda Blakley Skincare into what it is today: a fast-growing provider of simpler skincare products. Being the name behind the product line excites her because she believes so strongly in it. Amanda spearheads new business for AB Skincare and assists in product development for the company. Amanda is proud to share with you a skincare product line that she has worked tirelessly to create over the past few years.
	Lisa Blakley Lisa Blakley is the co-founder and Chief Operations Officer of Amanda Blakley Skincare, A native Oregonian, she received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Denver. Lisa started her career in the OHSU dermatology department where she became interested in contact dermatitis and all aspects of women’s daily skincare. Lisa over sees social media and presides over day-to-day operations. Her passion is changing the way people view skin disease and how it is addressed. Lisa finds it fulfilling to introduce people to AB Skincare products; products she knows won’t cause breakouts, rashes, or allergic reactions.
	Dr. Patricia Norris The visionary behind the Amanda Blakley Skincare line, co-founder Dr. Patricia Norris is a board-certified Dermatologist with a private dermatology practice in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Norris also runs the contact dermatitis clinic at Oregon Health & Science University, where she is an Assistant Professor. Her special interest is in allergic contact dermatitis (an allergy to substances such as chemicals, plants, metals and dyes that come into contact with the skin). As a result, her interest in skincare blossomed. After years of discussing skincare with patients, Dr. Norris has found that skin problems—from allergic reactions to eczema, acne, and rosacea—could often be resolved through a skincare routine involving fewer chemicals, simpler ingredients and fewer skincare products. Since the simpler products needed were not easily accessible to her patients, Dr. Norris set out to formulate products that women could use successfully on a daily basis.
